Arts University Plymouth and AUP Charitable Trust endeavour to help support students financially to overcome specific barriers to participation, enabling them to access creative education.

YOUNG ARTS PROGRAMME

Established in 1988, Arts University Plymouth’s Young Arts programme features the renowned Saturday Arts Clubs and for over 30 years has worked to bridge the gap in arts provision for young people, using it as a catalyst for learning, while shaping the artists, makers and creative thinkers of the future, and supporting education and social development.

The Trust supports the activities of the team and donates money to help the work of the Saturday Arts Club, which provides 15 & 25 week courses to 9 to 15 year olds.

EXTENDED BA STUDENT AWARD

Each year, the Trust supports the Extended BA Students, donating money to provide materials and sponsor awards at their final, end of course show.

The Awards are designed to recognise:

  • Digging deep and making the most of artistic talent/
    resourceful and tenacious
  • Desire to succeed and a willingness to make it happen
    (second language experience)
  • Creative development and experimental output, enthusiastic
    relentless work ethic
  • Silent commitment to the course/her learning/the team/her
    peers – with an eye on all our futures
  • Community minded and supportive – a productive team
    player/inclusive
